Releases of PCM/DSD PeakMeter
0.8.2 current version, released on: 2026-10-15
Initial release in the foobar2000 Components Repository.
Version 0.8.2 includes the following improvement:
- Improved PCM and DSD Peak Hold marker animation.
- New peaks are captured immediately.
- Peak markers hold for 0.50 seconds before descending continuously at 30 dB/s.
- Higher incoming peaks are reflected immediately.
- PCM/DSD detection, peak measurement, audio processing, calibration, and UI layout remain unchanged.
The component supports Windows x64, standalone meter windows, and Columns UI embedded panels.
DSD FAST measurements represent direct 1-bit modulation density, not reconstructed-waveform True Peak. Low-pass-filtered DSD True Peak analysis is not implemented.
The component is display-only and does not modify the audio signal.
